is designed to cost-effectively control the CO2 level inside a growing area. An extremely accurate NDIR CO2 PPM sensor (part-per-million meter) is combined with a digital microprocessor to create an accurate and simple method to control supplemental CO2 used in a greenhouse. The unit can control CO2 levels up to 2500PPM. The user selects the desired CO2 level to be maintained.
A built-in photocell automatically activates the unit only during the DAY. The user can also select a desired “Dead-band” setting depending on how accurately they want to control their PPM level. A pair of LEDs on the front face of the unit allows the user to quickly verify the ACTUAL CO2 level +/- 50 PPM simply by counting the number of times the lights flash on and off. The “plug-box” unit is plugged into a standard power outlet then the user connects any CO2 regulator or CO2 generator to the CARBON-B1. Once powered up and connected, the CARBON-B1 will automatically keep the CO2 at the preset level. The unit can also be easily re-calibrated by the user to ensure proper operation. Unit rated at 10 amps @ 240vac 50/60hz.
There is a built-in 30 second time delay for the photocell to change status. A green LED on the top RIGHT edge of the unit that says “Daytime” will light up when the photocell is in Daytime mode.
Yes… As long as the total amperage of the devices connected to the unit do not exceed the maximum rating of the unit. We recommend the total amps not to exceed 75% of the rating.
Because of the wide range of timer set-points, any small adjustment can result in a large change in time setting. If the timer does not seem to be turning on and off at the correct times, make small adjustments using another timer such as stop-watch or analog clock as a reference.
Ensure the unit is getting power. Check the device that is connected to the unit by plugging it directly into a known power supply. If the unit will not turn on and no LEDs will illuminate, contact the distributor for repair and warranty issues
Verify that the correct timer “mode” has been selected. Depending on what timer “mode” is selected, the timer will work when the photocell is activated by the available light level. Ensure enough light (or darkness) is present to change the status of the photocell from night to day status.
