HIGH TIMES "Strain of the Year" 2007
Worldwide Bestseller
Top Medical and Creative Strain
Celebrated as one of the world's 'greatest highs', Satori has a long-standing reputation among many medical users, connoisseurs, and creatives for exceptional quality. This is nevertheless a remarkably easy to grow sativa. She has impressive hardiness against spider mites, as well as other pests, and possesses a good measure of mold resistance. Satori can be grown indoor from seeds or clones. The firm side shoots provide superior quality cuttings and mother plants excel in vigour.
Very impressive head buds can be cultivated in organic soil - and certainly in environments that encourage a heavy yield (such as hydroponics/greenhouse/outdoor). Her slim appearance makes it possible to plant in narrow rows, or in SOG, to maximize the typical record crops even more. Alternatively, she can also be grown outdoor as multi-branch supersize plants. For indoor 400-600W HPS/m2 is required for best results. This is a high-performance sativa and does not flower well under low light.
She is very heat resistant - an added bonus for small indoor spaces and hot summers. If you are growing outdoor please note that Satori thrives in a mild temperate, Mediterranean or hot-dry climate. Given a dry and sunny micro-climate in the north (such as wine regions) you can successfully grow Satori up to 47°N. In cold weather areas a greenhouse with basic heating is required.
The heavy buds are easy to manicure and from the resinous bud leaves you can produce finest grade hash, comparable in quality to the famous Nepalese 'temple balls'. The mainly sweet fruity-spicy aroma of the cured herb is a real treat for the senses. Satori provides an excellent long-lasting and powerful cerebral high that ignites your brain power and intuition. Perfect for creative projects, inspirational breakthroughs, positive motivation, focused work, and consciousness exploration. Satori also has a wide variety of therapeutic benefits and is considered a high grade medical strain.
Satori grows a long headbud with chunky flowers and does not require much feeding on soil indoors; low levels of feeding (indoor) can be sufficient provided you use high quality soil and a proper container size. If you switch to 12/12 after 4 weeks of growth the sexed plants can be repotted into 2-2,5 gallon containers under 400-600W lamps. Longer growth times require bigger containers. Keep EC levels moderate in hydroponics for best results. All Mandala strains are extremely efficient in nutrient uptake due to their hybrid vigour and require only moderate EC levels/feeding to develop huge leaf, stem and bud structure. Outdoor you should provide sufficient nutrients throughout the plants life cycle to support their rapid development and supersize flowering. Greenhouse and outdoor plants require balanced and constant nutrient levels (especially in containers), so make sure you use quality pre-fertilized soil and pay attention to topping up nutrients as the plants develop.
